TMPGEnc: KVCD AND TMPGEnc just halts my pc
 

Hey all
as you would have read my problem in the topic, I would like to assure u that I did read the thread of TMPENg causing system crash but, didnt get any help, so now I am asking u guys
ok Guys I have installed version 2.58 free one, thena the plus version that the TMPGEnc Express 3 but the sdame thing happends, I made the script for KVCD and for the firat time I saw amazinf quality but TMPGENC 5 mins in encoding just crashes my system and everything comes to halt, I have tried this with 5 different avi files and the same thing happens
My PC specs
P4 1.4
256 mb SD ram
currently 3 gb free of 20 gb
and when I run TMPGEnc I try to close most of my programs,
now please please please u guys help me out. I know if I format pc and install windows again everything would be fine but I cant do thatg rite now so I seek an alternative

There is not.
Random crash with no reason are due generally to windows OR hardware.So reinstalling winXP and hoping it will fix the problem is the best hope you have.
Because it can be also you MB or your RAM taht is in failure...

Thanx for the reponse dialhot, yeah I think u r rite, my windows is pretty screwed so...

I had this problem with a badly joined mpeg file , it just crashes. I infact cut the part after the join and it worked perfectly.
