Go in the packshot forumand you will see all what said on that !

Note than mencoder forum is lock until better release of the prog. I greatly contributed to make this encoder to be considered as a beta tool not really usable by the whole community. But you can still read the posts.

In sum : good result (not so much in my eyes in fact) but a LOT of open issues that can lead to BIG problems in the playing of the DVD on a standalone.

As told (in this thread) and on the download posting of packshot:
That Frontend/GUI is beta and for testing purposes as it bases on libavcodec mpeg2 VBR encoding which does also got many risky behaviours. As pointed out by DialHot.

Do tests on your own, ... if you got a player which tolerates bitratedrops in DVD Mode then youll like it but there are also some workouts to get those bitratedrops using noise on the active Moviearea under control. But that means knowledge in "commandlining" which is also possible with Packshot when doing a safe "commandline only" instead of starting the job directly.

If you got knowledge, do participate testing, if not, just try and do a test on a DVD-RW if your player accepts it.
