separate audio and video in Mainconcept encoder?

Does any one know if it is possible to have individual streams like separate audio and video (M2v and mp2 files) using this programme?

Yes, you can. In main window drop and down box select audio and video streams only (not program stream). It will give you separates A-V streams.

When you encode a movie using main concept into a dvd format it makes the filesize 6gb+ what i wanted to know is if i took that 6gb+ plus file and put it into dvd shrink would i be able to reduce that file to 4.7gb in order to fit onto a dvd.

If you get a 6Gb+ file you are doing something wrong.
You can follow one of two methods explained from:
http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=94562#94562

but you have to read all thread to learn procedures.
Using KVCD matrix and those settings your file will be smaller for sure.
