TMPGEnc: Using encoded wav file provided by HeadAC3he?
 

Okay, i was having the same problem as others, TMPGEnc would get to 100% then just blink off. So I decided to try headac3he. Now, my question is, do i just use the newly encoded wav file privided by headac3he with TMPGEnc as per usual, or is there another trick I am missing.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hi kakkerlakk,

You don't encode the AC3 to WAV with Headac3he. You encode the AC3 to MP2 audio.
Then you multiplex your video and audio either with TMPEG TOOLS or BBMpeg.

Try both!.
I always use BBMpeg to mux. :wink:

One more stupid question
 

When encoding the video in TMPGEnc (2.58) do I use the ES (video only) or the system (video only)?

Also, a side note. When I encode the audio and video together using the extracted AC3 wav file from dvd2avi, and i hack the last minute of credits off, it usually remains stable and doesn't blink off. Any thoughts on this?

I encode as "ES (Video only)".
For your video hack :lol: , I would just encode the complete film. Then using BBMpeg, you can mux up to "End seconds", and this way you cut off audio and video at the exact point you want. After you encode your video, preview it in WMP, and scroll up to the point where you want to cut off. Note the time position, and convert this to seconds. Now use BBMpeg for your mux/cut.
