No Audio using ffdshow

Hi. I'm having a problem trying to make an mpeg from an avi using Virtualdubmod. I'm using ffdshow as my compression and it has presets for VCD SVCD & DVD. When i try that i do get an mpeg file, but there is no audio. Do I have to extract the audio separately & mux it later, or is there a way it will create an mpg file without muxing?

Thanks in advance,

Rog

From memory, no you don't have other possibility.

But why the hell do you use this method ? The result is far from the one of tmpgenc.

You can see all what we already experienced with this encoder there :

(look for ffvfw)

Well i haven't tried it very much so i thought i'd give it a whirl. Have not fiddled with MNencoder much either so i will have to try it to. Just looking for a good free Mpge2 Encoder. I like AVIDemux alot and thought i'd try some others.

Thanks!

Rog
