Encoding Wmv 9 to DVD?
i'm currently converting 2 file video clip that is in wmv9 format to dvd with freeEnc. Using avisynth directshowsource and fps=listed fps not the actual fps because I couldn't determine what the actual fps was. I extracted the audio with Goldwave since vdub wouldn't accept these file types. I stopped the encoding halfway through and it was smooth so I'm hoping it'll go well ;)
anyone do this type of conversion? what is your method? ty edit: it didnt work, video plays at the wrong speed at the beginning :( |
I converted some time ago, Volvo Route V50 semi-commercial, that was in WMV9.
I've used simple directshowsource("file.wmv") and some filters. I didn't bother about fps. You can also try to remux wmv container to avi under graphedit. Therefore you will find what fps it has. Furthermore you can use this avi as AVIsource (maybe  ) |
Hi Ren
i think we talked about this before but the only way i got it to work was to load the .wmv file into tmpge and save it as avi(lossless codec) and then go from there. i haven't tried one for a long while so there should be a better way now :D |

I have been trying to do this with Avisynth but there was always playback problems so today I tried your method [loaded wmv into tmpgenc and saved to avi (Xvid) ] and it worked great! At first I got the 'unsupported' error in tmpg but just needed to raise the directshowsource priority. thnx, ren |
HI Ren
Glad to see you got it to work I tried again after reading your post with tmpge but i couldn't even get it to load the.wMv file even with directshowsource at the highest priority Oh well least you got it to work :D |
