KVCD: the audio is struttering and jumpy?
I tested the KVCD-LBR template on this 4hr's movie.
To fit it on 2 Cd's. It worked perfect. There is just one problem. On my standalone dvd player (Pioneer 343) the audio is "struttering" and jumpy.. On my computer there is no problems. Why :?: I opened the movie in Virtual dub, made a' Wav file because of variable bitrate. Added subtitles and Frameserving to TEMPGEnc. Opened vdr file, wav file and KVCD-LBR template in TEMPGEnc. Do i have to use another audio editing program, for better resuls or... ? Quote:
But this var my first try, using KVCD Templates... |
Hi Chramon,
Did you dowsample your audio from 48Khz to 44.1Khz? Also, did you mux with BBMPEG? -kwag |

but TEMPGEnc's output became 44.1Khz. Quote:
That I shoud add audio (Mux) afterwards I created a' video file in TEMPGENC. With NO sound? I described above My method. (First tryout) I'm runnig a test now. Demultiplexing my videofile, and multiplexing in BBMPEG. Perhaps I should Download your Demo, Green mile. And test it with my Standalone Player. |
I have tested your "Green Mile demo" now, on my
standalone dvd player. :( Sorry, i have the same sound ploblems with it. Struttering sound. I think i drop the project... :D Using "Original TEMPGEnc templates" instead :) |
Hi Chramon,
Seems your DVD player doesn't like very low bit rates. Try a small change on the LBR. Increase the MIN bit rate from 64Kbps to 600Kbps. Make a small samle, and see if it stops stuttering. -kwag |
Thanks kwag :D
I'll give it a' try... |
I have this problem to
This is my solution, when i encode wave to mp2 with stand alone programs(i dont use tempgenc for sound).
It works fine on my player witch is a cyberhome. But when i play it on my best friends player, i got the same problem as you. Well to fix that this is my solution, do your sound with tempgenc en it should work. All do the quality is a little less then. But what is better a little less quality or jumpy sound Greetz MvS |
I haven't had any luck with muxing sound with bbmpeg either. The sound always goes out of sync. But when I encode with TmpgEnc the sound is always in sync. I did notice that the wav files were not the same size when you pull it out with MpegMediator as opposed to DVD2AVI.
