TMPGEnc: encoded video is shorter than source?
ok encoding in tmpgenc is goin wierd on me, a 4min 56 music vid off one of my dvds when encoded using the default dvd template with 640 480 resolution and change it to cq and level set at 60 when encded an played the run time says 1min 19 and continues to play after 1min 19 I honestly dont know whats wrong cause it plays the clip in full the time line thing stop at the end of time line but keeps playin the clip.
I have done other music vids with same technique and they play fine show the full run time of clip, anyone at all know how to solve this problem. |
If you changed recently your mpeg codecs, this is surely the reason (I had this problem with elecard mpeg codecs).
Try to go back to yours old codecs if it is the case. |
I downloaded this all in one pack thing from www.codecpack.com so it could be the codecs in that thats alterin the way it encodes?
|
nevermind everythin funky dory now I removed the codec pack lol
thanx Prodater64 such a simple thing to do an all but they do say the small things always cause the worse problems lol |
Your welcome, man from The Beatles earth.
:D |
now I know why I installed it lol but seein as it causes probs u wouldn't recommend a good mpeg-2 codec? as well now wmp freeze up when I seek through a mpeg-2 file
|
If you install PowerDVD, it has Ligos mpeg codecs.
If you install Mainconcept Encoder (even demo I think), it has Mainconcept mpeg2 codecs. Both are good ones. |
I have powerdvd 5 installed but even still wmp freezes when I seek through the file
well I done a search on net for ligos codecs on the off chance and found this pack tell me what u think. http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...oDecS_Pack.htm |
I don't know about packets. Never was good solution.
Better than this, try Installing Mainconcept MPEG Encoder (mainconcept.com) and it will install MC codecs. Or wait here for something that point you to the correct codec. Anyway wmp it is not the better software to play mpeg. Why not BSPlayer? |
I'll go with mainconcept see how that goes
