Hi, sorry for the stupid question but i'm wondering if there is a way to rip a DVD to divx (or some other file ) and then use the file to make KVCD?

If there is what kinf of software is needed to make the DVD rip?

It's possible, and you can use Gordian KGnot to produce the DivX. But what's the point? You'll loose a lot of quality and spend much more time...

You can do KVCD straight from DVD.
Use DIKO and DIKO guides.
It don't take you to much time to learn it use.
