MEPG file larger than calculated?

I have an AVI video. My target is XVCD.
640*480, 29.97, CBR 2650kbps, in order to fit it on a 80min CDR.

Using Tmpgenc, I encoded it to mpeg1. The final mpg was a lot bigger than what was calculated (more than 1gb). I had to cut that blank time with Tmpgenc. getting 39mins

Then, I got the WAV audio using Spanishdub to encode it to mp2 with Tmpgenc.

the thing is, that the audio was only 35mins :? , I dont know why.

I wondered, what about multiplexing them...?

well, you all know what happens...

so, plz... can anyone tell me why I have more video than audio?
a solution :?: :?:

thanks

You had to extract the audio to WAV with Vdub, using "Full Processing Mode".
