KVCD: Which template is best for a martial arts movie, for 1 CD?

I would like to put a martial arts movie (Snake in the Eagle's Shadow) onto 1 CD. These type movies have a lot of action, so they tend to get blocky for me. Does anyone have suggestions of what has worked for them in the past. I have read that FitCD is great for obtaining the best video sizing to fit the selected number of CDs, but I have never used this tool before. Here are my usual steps, which have created a file that's way to big for 1 CD.

1. Rip DVD w/ Smart Ripper
2. Use DVD2AVI to process audio and video
3. Load the "KVCD-CQ-352x480-_NTSCFilm_-PLUS.mcf" template into TMPG 2.58
3a. Load video and audio
3b. Video Type = Non-interlace
3c. Aspect Ratio = 4:3 525 lines (NTSC)
3d. Everything else is defaulted by the template.

The mpg normally produced by these setting are over 1 gig, so I obviosly have some changes to make.

I'm not familiar with FitCD, so please explain which settings are best and how to load them into TMPG.

Thanks.
