merging and cutting problem

i have a m1v file that is 1.35gb and an file audio that is 284mb. When i multiplex these files i get a file size of 1.65gb. I was working on the assumption that it would be closer to 1635mb but i can live with that. Now when i go to cut the file in half so i can get 825mb on 2 cds using overburn, i get 2 bigger files, one is 879mb and the other 891mb.
i use tmpgenc to merge the files and i have tried both vcd cutter and tmpgenc to cut the files but both give me the same result.
Is this meant to happen? or am i doing somethng wrong.

Hi |3|aderunn3r,

Use BBMpeg to cut and mux your files. Just specify 825MB in the max size MB in the general settings.

yeah i aslo thought bbmpeg would be the best option but see my audio file is mp3 and bbmpeg doesnt mux it propely. so i had to use tmpgenc.
