KVCD: Whats the diffrence between the kvcd and ksvcd templates ?
hello !
im wanna create k[s]vcd, i wanted to know whats the diffrence between the KVCDx3-MPEG-2 NTSC/PAL and the SKVCD-1h30 to 2h templates ? |
Basically the difference betweens templates are the resolution used and the video bitrates (min and max).
For instance I never use any template except the KVCdx3 one and I change myself manually the points above according to what I need for my current job. |
im using this guide to make ksvcd: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13391, btw it was ur recomendation, thanks alot :)
i took a 1:45:00 movie and i tried it once with the: 'KVCDx3-MPEG-2-NTSCFilm.mcf' and 'SKVCD-1h45-480x480-NTSC.mcf' both files are the same size and i chked it out and the result seems to be quiet the same... should i use the 'skvcd' or the kvcdx3 template ? |

Generally up to 1h40 you can use KVCDx3, after you have to try with 480*480 (aka SKVCD template if you prefer). |
so u recomand using KVCDx3 only on a less then 1h45m movie and above use the KSVCD template?

cyron just make sure your dvd player is compatible for playing that resolution of 544x480 or whatever. because i know that on my unheard of "Electrohome (branch of Citizen)" DVD player, i had trouble with resolutions over 352x240.
i believe on the main pg there is a link for dvd player compatibility |
