I don't know a faster way but perhaps there is. By the way this is how I would do :

- do a 5s long blanck clip with BlanckClip (see avisynth doc)
- encode it with tmpgenc with the same parameters than the mpv you have (just need to set the same resolution, GOP and fps)
- merge it with tmpgenc
- demux the resulting mpg to extract the final mpv (and trash the audio, it is blanck anyway).
