KVCD: audio was out of sync?

I downloaded Friday The 13th 4 from WinMX. I tried encoding it and all and burned it to a vcd but it was all weird. The audio was out of sync and the whole thing was like skipping and freezing. It's hard to explain. It play fine on the computer. Also, the video is widescreen 1.85:1 on the computer but on tv, it's less wide and sometime the words run off the screen. What did i do wrong?

Just to let you know most of us back-up our dvd's so they dont get ruined, it is perfectly legal to make a backup copy.

Actually it isn't. Look it up

Hi Paul082189

When you say it is ilegal to make a copy from your own DVD, that means that you can't copy to have any profit on it.

Legally speaking, if you assume that backup is a crime, so, any tape from vynil is a crime, any backup copy from the cpu program cd's that you made ( in case ) you lose is a crime.

So, like we say around here, don't look for hair in eggs, don't try to find things where there are any.

This is a site where we discuss about encoding, like a hobby, so, join the club, make questions, don't make war.

i'm not trying to cause trouble but it really is illegal to make a backup copy of your dvd even if you don't sell copies. But everyone still does them

it isn't illegal to own 1 backup of your original DVD m8.

you however MUST own the original and not sell for a profit.
