DVD Rebuilder and DGIndex?
Hi,
Last week I decided to give a chance to DGIndex and today I have problems with Rebuilder : I do not see any means to use DGDecode.dll with it. I found the way to have Rebuilder to use old mpeg2dec3.dll but it seems that the D2V are generated by internal procedures and so, you can't generate new DGIndex ones. Can somone confirm that ? I'll trash DGIndex immediatly ! |
The program does support dgdecode.dll. Or was your problem something else?

Theoretically the only Problem I do see is if the DVD2AVI 1.76 procedure causes a significant Frameloss, a recognisable non-sync dvd could be the result?
BTW: I never encountered that Problem on my Rebuilder encodes. AND: I do use some Tools which do still need the old 1.76 d2v syntax ;) |
Jesus Inc, I just fell on my arse
I've seen lots of Christmas-time avatars but yours is by far the funniest.. Oh, by the way, the PointResize didn't work out well, the hardcoded subs were extremely blocky :? |

1/ I REMOVED old mpeg2dec3.dll (and any mpeg2dec*.* files) from my disc 2/ I only have DGDecode.dll in my avisynth plugin directory but I do not declare it in Rebuilder 3/ I lauch rebuilder - it makes d2v - it make avs with no "loadplugin" lines 4/ I obtain an avs error "MPEG2Source : can't load the D2V" ! That means that rebuilder generates old style d2v files :!: I'll try to declare "Dgdecode.dll" in the option, like indicated. Perhaps this is the way to tell to rebuilder "I want you to generate new style d2v files". @Inc Nice avatar. May I have the same thing ? That should be funny :-) Note: I didn't have any problem too with DVD2AVI except that I discovered that DGIndex needs up to 4x less time than DVD2AVI to process a DVD on my PC ! |
Sorry Phil for beeing Offtopic.
Boulder, just use the masked overlay funtion in Avisynths Xmas Build on your avatar  http://www.digitalfaq.com/archives/i...2004/12/15.gif Phil, get it here: http://www.digitalfaq.com/archives/i...2004/12/16.gif Boulder, get it here: http://www.digitalfaq.com/archives/i...2004/12/17.gif Karl, get it here: http://www.digitalfaq.com/archives/i...2004/12/18.gif  PS: DGDecode is THAT much faster???? 8O *wow* I didnt saw that! |
Declaring DGDDecode.dll in opt does the trick. :-D
Thanks Boulder ! @Inc Thank you too :-) I wan't a santa'Karl ! (note: speed gain on my PC is due to my low memory - 256 MB only - that makes parsing of big files very painfull with badly encoded tools. Sometimes DVD2AVI needs 20 minutes to make a project). |
:rotf:
Thanks guys  -kwag |
