So you don't have to wait for the full encode, and you can preview the sample and that's just the way your final encoded movie will look like :) Quote:

But you're already encoding. How can you guys watch a sample while encoding 8O :?: I have a pretty fast computer, but when I try to do that, it takes ages to open up the player and then the sample plays with LOTS of hickups... Quote:
Nevermind, Karl. I already did my best trying to put it in English. Took me maybe half an our to write the post, and when I read it after finished I already knew it would be very difficult for anyone to understand it . Bottom line: I see no problem always leaving there the sample file. You could create us a checkbox in the settings panel, so that we can choose if we want it or not. Cheers guys |

But I'm not sure if it's worth the effort to add another option, because that sample takes maybe an extra 30 seconds to a minute to encode, and it's maybe a good idea to keep it around for reference :) -kwag |

Option -> Task priority -> set "Normal" when active and "Idle" when not active. This way, as soon as tmpgenc loose the focus (when you select an other app or iconify the tmpgenc's window) your PC recovers its full speed ! Quote:
(really, it annoys you so much ?) |

It's really not needed, at least on my PC. And the same goes for other encoders. Take NuEnc for an example. Thanks for the tip Phil :) Quote:
Yes, let it live :D Cheers |
