TMPGEnc: Minimum Bitrate option

I was just wondering is it a good idea to put the min bitrate in Tmpgenc or should i just leave it as the default? what will this effect?

I don't know what you call "default" but the less you put as min, the better it is for the quality of your video. Because by setting a low min, you let more bits avalaible for scenes that will need a lot of bitrate.

But the problem is that some players can't play correctly video if it goes under a given bitrate. Very often it's 300, sometimes 600.

Do a complete encode with a min set at 64 and play it on your standalone. If everything is okay, then you can keep this value a min for all your works.

Okay i will try that but since the avg bitrate of each movie varies would'nt the min bitrate vary as well? i mean since the min bitrate = 0.57 * Avg bitrate

No.
