KVCD: Equals sign is necessary per 245 line?
nuther newbee question .. here goes I did check some of the faq's and didnt find an answer so here goes ..
only two of the templates I downloaded work in tmpgenc : KVCD-LBR-352X240-_NTSCFilm_-PLUS KVCD-LBR-352X288-_PAL_-PLUS the others give me an error when I load them. "=" is necessary. per 245 line. what have I done wrong now ? help. p.s. I am only trying to understand and apply the steps needed to make a nice kvcd ,, My goal is to put all three Matrix Movies on one dvd ,, jeez hope I havnt broken any more rules .. |
Open it and find what is the content of this line 245 !
Note: the 3 matrix on a single DVD is possible but probably not the best thing to start as this will be quite difficult due to the nature of movies. |

I recal I did the first matrix at 704x480 with the MA script, and it did fit on 800MB with very good quality, so at ~1.3GB 704x480 as KDVD, the results should be far better. -kwag |
I suspect the quality won't be good unless he does a letterboxed 4:3 encode, which is not ideal when you deal with DVDs. The audio tracks probably must also be re-encoded to lower bitrate which is another thing shouting "NOOOOO" in my ears :wink:

line 245
on the template
KVCD-ULBR-352x240-_NTSCFilm_-PLUS.mcf now I opened this in Word and had it go to line 245 .. hope thats the correct procedure anyways. what is there from my download is this. MPEG.Audio.OriginalFlag_ReadOnly = False MPEG.Audio.Copyrigh I have no idea what that all means so to change it woulld be a hack for sure. the only thing I notice wrong is its missing the letter "t" on the word copyrigh could it be that simple ,, a missing byte maybe by right clicking and clicking on save as. still confused and spinning .. |

From CalcuMatic ( 6 hour total, with DVD mux overhead ) : Total Video size: 3,820,876 Total Audio size: 662,400 But again, movies MUST be wide screen versions :!: I don't remember exactly how long "The Matrix" was. I think it was 137 minutes? And I don't know how long part 2 and part 3 are, so maybe it will be more than 6 hours of playtime. If that's the case, then I would only encode 2 movies per DVD, and that would allow even higher video quality and audio bitrate :) -kwag |
@rodrx,
Are you sure you saved the templates as "TEXT", and not as "HTML" :?: -kwag |

If the compressibility test shows that the movies can be put on one DVD so that the video bitrate doesn't get lower than the one achieved by CQ70, I'd go for three movies per disc. I even made an Excel spreadsheet for calculating the average bitrates depending on the compressibility, I use it every time I put more than one movie per disc. |
netscape
wow just used internet explorer right clicked and did the save as ( all files ) the template loaded fine.
I used netscape the first time. right clicked and clicked save as ( all files ) and came up with the errors. cool I like the talk about putting my 3 favorite movies on one dvd. now to see if I can do it .. |
