Convert oversized mpg to KVCD?

I have a 960Mb mpg, is it possible to convert this to KVCD in order to burn into 1 CD? Or I have to convert it into avi format first?
Help plz. Thanks

You could re-compress (re-encode) to MPEG, but you'll loose quailty in the process.
Forget about AVI conversion.
