with TMPgenc, the output is interlaced?

Um problem. I got the movie Novicane. In DVD2AVI I didn't set it as anything. (A.k.a. forced film, ect.) and when I try to convert it w/ TMPEG the output is interlaced. So I went okay. Deinterlace. Well, when I went in to choose which kind I went to an interlacede frame and I set the filter and when I looked at the screen it almost doubled the intensity of the interlaced frame. So I went, okay, IVTC. o I did that and it's like it's still interlaced on the output  So I'm stumped. Do I need to set as forced film or what? Has anyone else done this movie? I tried 3 KVCD Temps. and none of them we're any different. (Not that it would make a difference but I thought I'd note it) 8)

BTW, The FitCD says it's 29 fps
Well, any help would be greatly apreicated.
