TMPGEnc: can i still use my kdvd/vcd templates in 3.0 encoder?
 
I just got tmpg express, can i still use my kdvd/vcd templates in 3.0 encoder?
iv tried to load it in with no luck

Take the specs from here: http://www.kvcd.net/portal/articles.php?lng=en&pg=20
And put them in the encoder.

those were the kvcd specs are they the same for kdvd? do i need to change the GOP at all? il give it a go then, excitement overload

does cqmatic work with tmpg 3?

For KDVD, you need to set the GOP to a max size of 15 for PAL or 18 for NTSC.

And you can use higher bitrates than you used to have on a KVCD.
I use something between 4500 and 6000 according to what I want to put on the disc.

TMPG 3 is nothing but a new shell arround the old engineµ. With stupid things like binairy only project files.

Worst ! They released a new version for 2.5 with an enhanced MPEG1 encoder, but they do not release it in 3 !

In other words : trash it and take 2.524.
