What setting for merging two dvds in TMPGenc?
I am encoding my first set of kdvd and a couple of the sources are split and cannot be combined b4 the encode. What setting in tmpgenc is used for the merge when merging 2 kdvd together. I know when using kvcd the setting is for mpeg-1 non standard.

Theater version or Extended DVD release ?
(I wonder why people always want to do most difficult things at their first attempt in a new domain :-)) |
the sources are from dvdrips and the runtimes are as follows. fellowship of the ring cd1-1:41:59, cd2-1:16:24, Return Of the king-4:30:29, two towers CD1-1:39:02, CD2-1:20:20. I am not sure of whether or not they are extended or not. They are all WS.

note: I hope you use a script and you do not let tmpgenc doing all the work. And moreover, that you do NOT use ANY filter internal to tmpgenc ! note2: set the motion search precision on "Motion estimate" if you did not do that yet. This is far faster, and the quality is almost the same as "high". |
lol
i know you know i am not using a script. I know you think I am crazy for it too. I rerally don't know how to use scripts yet. I will figure it out when I have some time to do some reading and testing. I am so booked up with other crap like today I did my brakes on my car=7 hours too long. Thanx for the advice on the motion precision. I have to restart the encode now that I am halfway through cuz I messed up and set it to 720x480. Hell it was so big already. Hell, 66% done and already at 1.9 gig. May as well just be dvd. |
wow that cut the time down to 2.5 hours. I don't mean to be a bobo on the time but damn if i wanna have my pc running 18 hours on one stupid movie. I could just go rent and copy it with dvdcloner in 3 hours and would be just like the dvd with all the menus and such. especially if it was gonna take up 3.5 gig like it was gonna with the 720x480 resolution. Not like I could put more movies on there with it then huh?
