Is there a way I can use CCE with DVD2SVCD to encode mpeg1 kvcd?
 

Is there a way I can use CCE with DVD2SVCD to encode mpeg1 kvcd?
it only does it as mpg2 as dvd2svcd default

FYI, MPEG1 produced by CCE is awfull.
and FYI2 : DVD2SVCD is really bad to do KVCD (prediction engine way too inacurrate with tmpgenc, I don't know with CCE).

Is there another 1 shot encode program for KVCD?
 

Tmpg gives me nothin but problems, now it wont run during encode,
says error .avs format is not supported, I wa just using it last night rrrr
The only reason i wanna use DVD2SVCD is because its a 1 shot encode process, rather then having to manually do a bunch of steps to get a KVCD, I mean I have a dvd burner & I could be done having a copy done in 20 mins, I just think KVCD is cool.
Is there another 1 shot encode program for KVCD?

May I remember you that you are the only one that have problem with official avisynth 2.5.5 and last 2.5.6 beta ?
There is something definitely broken on your PC ! You should better look for that than using CCE insteed of tmpgenc :!:

Tmgenc can't refuse a format like that with no reason. Don't you have something that as been installed on your PC during the night ?

Manual. And this takes TEN minutes in front of the PC, a little more if you need chapters and subtitles (plus a lot of hours to encode of course

But i have 1 problem with tmpg & CQMATIC ...
Tmpg want to take 15 hours to encode a 2 hour movie,
but when i use dvd2svcd it does something with readavs,dll that enables it to be done in 3 hours (video encode)

Also when I try using tmpg with CQMATIC my result is always ...

Absolutly nothing can do that. You should do something wrong when you use tmpgenc manually. DVD2SVCD just call tmgenc, it does nothing on any dll.
The main diff is probably in the script you use when you encode manually.

I don't understand the link between this and all the other points (except that your system is completly screwed up)
Explain better what gives you this error and how you arrive there.

ok this is it, after I install avisynth with all needed plugins,
I'll use kwags optimal script setup to my source & (1) when I open that script with windows media player it will say cannot find proper decompressor. if i install an really older version of avisynth 2.5.2 then it wont i think ffmpeg or whatever that codec is takes over BUT IN RETURN it takes 15 hrs to encode. But if i use dvd2svcd then i dont get those decompressor error msgs because it works without that FF plugin for avisynth .

I think my sys is using wrong dll maybe directshow to encode while with dvd2svcd wll have it done in 3 hrs

You seems to have problem with YV12 and YUY2. Be carrefull that in dvd2svcd I used a trick to force the encode in YV12. It's possible that when you encode manually, you encode in YUY2. And this can also explain the "decompressor" error (the one that is installed on your PC can process YV12 but not YUY2 for instance).

Your system is DEFINITELY screwed. You should reinstall it if you can.

(note: If I remember well, last dvd2svcd was a crap that force usage of directshow anytime if you do not change settings correctly. In your case it seems to have good effect but generally it is not

Time is not a matter. But for sure it should take the same time whatever the method used.

What do I do to the optimal script to make it use all the right decompressors then?
Also if i'm gonna use CQMATIC THEN 1 HOW DO I GET TMPG TO MAUALLY USE READAVD.DLL 2 HOW TO I SET TMPG TO DECOMPRESS WITH YUY2?

The problem on your system is that you don't have the good decompressor !
But DVD2SVCD is using Directshow, and you seems to have a DS filter that can handle this format. That's just a good luck.

For settings bout tmpgenc, please do a search.
Note: you MUST ENCODE IN YV12 ! It's far faster.

I'm not a script wizard or nothing, do i encode as yuy2? or as yv12? or both.

First find the correct codec used for your source (identify it with gspot). Then install it and configure it to output as YV12 (if necessary and possible; that is not always possible).

Then avisynth will feed automatically tmpgenc with YV12 because it is its default. If YV12 is not available with tis codec, then it will go for YUY2 and finally RGB (all codec are supposed to output at least in RGB).
So you don't have nothing to wonder if you have the correct codec installed.

In any case, a quick reading of avisynth manual will tell you how to convert something into YV12vif it is not. I can understand you are not a script wizard but the manual must be read by anyone once before the first question. That's my idea.

Of course not.
What is your source ? A DVD ? Then you don't need any decompressor but DVD2AVI and avisynth (and XVID codec as YV12 handler. don't ask why).

EVEN after reformatting i kept installing vfapi reader codec into dvd2avi folder thinking it was that I even made a fake avi with it & tryed GSPOT TO set it up as a renderer (WHICH i hope it didnt screw some other ish up)?
