I've shorterned the names of the files I am converting, but I still have the flicking problem... Does the number of files you have in one drive affect it? should I chuck all the files I am converting in the script into 1 folder so it is easier for the computer to find? I can play playback in kvcdplayer no prob. but cannot connvert

1.I am having the same problem but instead of clearing the source range, I start afresh.. load everyting back up.. use cq matic but I still have the same problem. tmgpenc flickers briefly and then creashes and the figures in the log is negatives.

2.to try to fix the problem I shorten the file names. Still same flickering problem.. and I make a new tpr... still same problem.

Dunno what ot do next.

That means that you do not select the correct "Stream type" for the ouput. Set it to "ES (Video only)" and not "System (Video+Audio)".
I don't see other problem in your project.

the avs is in 1 drive and the video files are in another drive.. if the avs has the correct address to the files to be converted, it shouldn't matter where the avs is located in the system it should still be able to find it.

anyway since you think I was mucjing things up I've put everything into 1 drive and the flickering prb still stays.

Start with a plain script, like AviSource("H:\video01.avi",false) and nothing else.
Just so start an elimination process.
