Made a KVCD 352x240, had to pulldown, but audio sync issues?
Hello!
Well I am trying to make a KVCD NTSC 352x240 on tmpgenc and put it in DVD LAB. Well I encoded it in 23,976 (the source is 23,976). But DVD Lab (when using NTSC project) requires it has to make a 29,97 pulldown. Well I tried both: dvdlab pulldown and DGP Pulldown from Donald A. The problem is... The audio goes out of synchronization =/ How could I solve this ? Well I can encode it at 29,97 on tmpgenc. But I do not want to do this because of "dropped frames". I do not know if the problem is "dropped frames" but the fact is: when the camera goes from left to right or from down to up and vice-versa, the scene does not scroll smooth, it scrolls like it was "jumping" (like some frames are missing) best regards |
You can't pulldown an MPEG-1.
Only MPEG-2. Encode your KVCD as MPEG-2 (if your player supports is). -kwag |

But, KVCD-KDVD does not use the same quantization matrix ? If i do what you suggested, the kvcd will produce a mpeg-2 with a very low bitrate (bitrate from kvcd) right ? So the file should be 100% compatible I think.. if I am wrong, please correct me! Quote:

@sparkster DOn't worry, redo exactly what you did but with MPEG2. The result is slightly lesser than MPEG1 but you don't have choice. Using 29.970 will lower too much the CQ. |
