How long will encoding take? DivX2SVCD with TMPGEnc Plus 2.5

Here we go guys I have a quest....
I have'nt done a SVCD from a DivX file and plz I need some help with TMPGEnc Plus 2.5.:

My wav. file is on 574 mb and the video file is on 364 mb and I want to make a SVCD with the highest quality. So I open TMPGEnc and then I select witch format I want so I select PAL, and then NEXT. Then I came to the "Select source file" area so I browsed my movie into TMPGEnc ( one video file and one wav. file). Then NEXT. Then I came to the "Filter Setting" area and from there I clicked on "Other Settings". here is the first problem. On the Video part in Other Settings there is "Motion search precision" . There can I select the quality I think (or is it the quality that I select here?). So as I said first I want the best quality so should I select "Highest quality(very slow)" then???? or should I let it be on "normal"????

Plz help

How long will the encoding take with this computer???

1.66MHz
256 RAM
80GB HD
OS: XP prof.

Need to know somthing more so just ask but remeber I WANT THE HIGHEST QUALITY.

I hope some nice guy have time to answer my question :D

Hi Wolfi !
U are allmost there !!! but For best quality try this :
1 . Load your divX to FitCD to get avisynth script
2 . Load resulted *.avs file to VIDEO In TMPGenc
3 . Load wav to AUDIO - To get better mp2 qulity use tooLame as an external encoder

*** if your DVD player can manage SVCD than

4 . Load 704x576 plus template and change to 720x576
5 . Motion search precision => NORMAL

If all other param's are untached after u encode the divX u'll get mpeg1 with same quality as was DIVx .
6 . Demux resulted mpg with TMPG and mux with bbMPEG as SVCD
7 . Burn with your favour prog

I hope this helps a little ?!!!
