which template would look better for a 90min PAL fullscreen movie?
Hi Kwag, I'm trying to figure out which template would look better for a 90min PAL fullscreen movie, KVCDx2 Plus (352x288) or the LBR template? I have to keep the minimum bitrate at 650 so that my standalone player won't pop the audio and the max bitrate would be 1150kbps or higher if needed to fill the one CD. CQ_VBR value will be adjusted so that the CD would be as full as possible.
I'm also wondering whether I should select 'motion estimate search' or 'high quality' as the motion search precision. Which one will produce better quality? I'm sure the filesize difference is quite small so I'd select the one with better quality. Edit: Is there a special reason for not using soften block noise in the LBR template? Thanks for your time, I'm glad I found these templates of yours..they work wonders for my TV captures :D |

Apparently the function works oposite as described. -kwag |
Boulder,
The KVCDx2 Plus will give you higher quality. The LBR-template is meant for fitting 3 hours of video on one CD. The KVCDx2 Plus gives you less playing time (up to 2 hours) against higher quality. |
