backing up copy protected dvds

hello i am trying to backup my legally purchased dvd to my hard drive in .vob format but its giving me a hard time, dvd2avi doesnt seem to work properly with it, and my dvd playing program wont even play it because it says copy protection cannot be enabled, what im wondering is if there is a good program for defeating this annoying protection garbage, my little boy likes to destroy my dvds its good for me to back them up just in case thanks in advance.

Ypu can't use DVD2AVI on a protected DVD. You have to rip it first on your HD, and this operation will remove the protection on the fly.
Use DVDDecrypter for taht, of DVDFab Decrypter for the latest protective systems.
