No there is not.

But if you already know how to convert a movie to put on a CD, the last part (putting the movies on a DVD) is quite simple (depending on the authoring tool that you want to use).

I use DVD2SVCD with new avisynth setup, but I have KVCD and not KDVD!

You have to stick to some limits :

- video in MPEG2
- resolution 352x288 / 352*576 / 704*576 or 720*576
- audio at 48khz and not at 44.1
- and GOP length to 15 max for PAL.

after authoring such a formatted video... would you just burn it as a non standard video cd? or a super video cd? im using an mpeg-2 format of
720x480 for video ntsc could i use that to just burn a kdvd and how would that be done? sorry im used to kvcds, just got a dvd burner this very week :D thanks for info

DVD has to be burnt has DVD !
You need an autoring software to "build" the DVD from the m2v and the ac3 (or mp2) you just encoded.
We suggest tmpgenc DVD Author or DVDLab Pro.

Also try DVDlab pro since according to me, it is more feature rich. Startup guide is here

i encoded a good quality rip in mpeg2 format at the resolutions i stated earlier , my dvd authoring tool says my gop is too long, i go into the gop setup in tmpgenc and have to admit im not sure how it should be set to attain this gop limit for ntsc format

i need to attain 36 field 18 frame thanks again for being patient with me

If you don't want to reencode, DVDLab Pro does not have any problem with long gop (just a warning).
