KDVD: Separate a vcd with precision before making vob?
Hi,
what I do is this. I make a kvcd out of a dvd, the resulting kvcd has 3 movies (anime). If I use tmpgenc dvd it will recognise the kvcd as one file, but I want to break it down to each individual movie from the 1kvcd. Is there anyway of breaking down and have each movie show up separately on the menu, without me having to manually chop the kvcd in tmogenc into indvidal movies and then make the dvd? tahnks |
How did you author this KDVD originally ? With wich program ?
Can you give the list of files that you have on the DVD ? |
I used the bp guide... the dvd to kvcd. what files on the dvd do u mean? do u mean the one I backed it up from? I made the backup from vob files in the dvd.
Let me rephrase. I make a kvcd containing 3 eps from a dvd. I wanna make the tmpgenc dvd recognise each ep in the kvcd, so I can jump from ep 1 to ep 10 straightaway. If I just chuck the kvcd into tmpgenc , tmpgenc will see it as 1 big ep - 1 want 3 individual eps. I don't want to manually chop the kvcd in tmgpenc into 3 eps, there are too many eps and I haven't the time to do that. Is there anyway of doing it? or if not.. at least make a menu that shows and senses the start and end of each rp? so I choose ep 2 and it will jump straight to that ep in the vob file? is that more understandable? |
You can put a chapter mark at the begining of each ep and do a menu to jump to each chapter (that will correspond to each episode so).
Next time encode the ep one by one and not 3 by 3 ! It's a lot easier to split the source than the encoded video. |
I know but the eps only last for about 40 mins each... how and where do I do the chapter jump mark at the beginning of each ep? how to make a menu to jump to from one episode to another?
I've had a look around the forum and found these posts http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic....t=chapter+mark http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic....t=chapter+mark does bbmpeg split the mpeg into smaller pieces as well? and how will the tmgpenc dvd read the mpeg? as one massive mpeg still or 3 individual mpegs? |

If you want to split, you know that you have tmpgenc. Or you can use Cutermaran that is perhaps more convenient when you have a lot of movies to split. |
