thats all well, is there anything i need to do with that or does it set itself because when i press Full Encode it hasnt set the CQ to 89 in Tmpgenc its 60 or is this normal?

All size are negative, this has been discussed a lot.

hi Phil
thanks for that, i have done that , double click source and default - but the reset cut editing wasnt highlighted to select anyway?, but after pressing the above it worked me a smaller sample...

when i press execute in either prediction or encode mode it will just say
preparing calibration phrase... but nothing happens ..BUT if i close Tmpeg it will come back up and close several times is that normal?

but when i do get the right CQ settin.....the thing is when i press full encode straight after the sample it does the same as above (close several times) but i get an error which then says illegal stream format
and then contnues to encode at the CQ which i normally set not what CQmatic sets..?
any ideas or suggestions?
thank you

p.s or maybe im using an older version of tmpgenc

my version is TMPGEnc Plus 2.524.63.181
CQmatic version is 1.4.08
calcumatic version is 1.1.16

Ok that means that the problem was not this as there was no edit to reset.

Yes, CQMatic use a lock to have only one tmpgenc windows at a time. So if you run it with tmpgenc already opened... CQMatic waits and waits and waits... :).

I don't understand what you did in all this "sample" part but you have to reset the edit before EACH usage of CDMatic. It seems that you used it twice ? So need to reset between the two :).

Your versions are correct. Just need to apply really carefuly, step by step, all the 11 operations described by Orbman in the thread I posted above.
