Doing a DVD is like doing a VCD except that you use a different template and need an authoring tool in the end. So basically all what you need is a guide for an authoring tool. As there are a lot of them (guide and tools) on the net, that's probably why there is no specific one there.

At which step are you stuck ?

Do you have a tool ? Else I suggest Tmpgenc DVD Author for its smplicity or DVD Lab Pro for its convenience and skills. That's the one I use.

I'm pretty much completely new to TMPGEnc, and KDVDs/KVCDs and everything, really appreciate this site, probably the best $3 i've ever spent.

Just another question about KDVD's though, and I thought this was the most appropriate thread.

What i've been doing so far to make KDVD's, is using the v4 script posted elsewhere in the forums, and using the template for TMPGEnc from
http://www.kvcd.net/dvd-models.html to encode the video.

My question is, using these tools, I'm under the impression that I'm encoding with a constant bitrate for the video stream, but I'm just wondering if that's true or not, and is there a way to get to a VBR for better quality?

Let me know if i'm being a bit scarce with details.

Thanks
