KVCD: file prediction method?

hey,
i have read like every post on the file prediction method, but i just don't get it. i have tried copying some of the scripts that the guys have on here, but none of them produce a 100 frames of the movie, and all that stuff, so what do i do?? i would really like to fit traffic on one cd and have good quality.. but mostly i just want to understand how this works.... thanks :D
