Convert Spiderman Movie using KVCD Template?
 

Hey guys, I am new to this forum and I just have a quick question.

I have the new Spiderman movie and it is in 3 parts at about 39 minutes each, both .avi. I am encoding the first part right now using TMPGEnc with the KVCD Template loaded also. I just used the regular KVCD template (The only thing I altered was the Motion Search Estimate which I put on High Quality [slow]). Now the settings are: MPEG-1, 352x480, 23.976fps,CQ80, Layer-2 44100HZ 128 KBPS. I plan on watching this movie on my NTSC Television on my standalone DVD player. Do those settings sound right for this movie's attributes? The black bars are really thick on the top and bottom of the picture, is this normal?

P.S. It is only taking 1 hour and 40 minutes to encode, does that mean the quality is going to be not that good?

your settings sound right...
depending on the speed of your pc, ram etc... it will take anywhere from 30 mins to 3 hours or so.
