The prediction method is in the Encoder Tab of DVD2SVCD. Make sure you downloaded the latest version.

I am using DVD2SVCD with file prediction.
My settings: KVCD matrix, SVCD resolution chosen and I change it to 544x480 in AVS script. MPEG-2. I add Convolution3D in AVS script. GOP is 1,18,3,1,18. File prediction factors tried: .95, .99 and .90. Its choosing very low quality factor and I end up wasting 20% space. Any Ideas? Subtitles also are not synching well many times. |

"...File prediction factors tried: .95, .99 and .90. Its choosing very low quality factor and I end up wasting 20% space..." I use KVCD_LBR.ini with Unfilter+BilinearResize+TemporalSmoother and prediction factor 0.97 and i got one image of 815Mb almost filling the CDR Capacity(i"ll try 0.975 and 0.980 later). I got also a subtitle issue, not synch problem though, somtimes the subtitles appear so fast that i cannot read them. Don"t know if it"a bug on the latest DVD2SVCD 1.1b1a or the template sttings... |

Unfilter+BilinearResize+TemporalSmoother : the best for me too.  i test all combinations with (tons) filters and nothing has this quality(at now). tell me more about File prediction factors ,please. thanks! |
Have you guys tried the BilinearResize+FluxSmooth+NoMoSmooth+BlockBuster combo? Seems to be the best going around right now at 352X240 resolution. Does going to a lower file prediction value yeild bigger file size?
