divx to kvcd with a ton of problems
 

hi,

i realise this is completely newbie, so if it's been discussed, scream and give me a link to something :D

first of all, the file is around 1:20 hrs in length, but when i look at fiel properties it says its over 4 hours!! is this normal?
anyway,can i even use a straight off divx file to make a kvcd (90 mins ntsc) with tmpgenc? in any case i did and when it was encoded it looked very squashed indeed, so i cancelled. again is this normal? will it enconde like this or will it look right on vcd? does kvcd come in other resolutions?ter etc.?
also, i extracted the .wav file from it using goldwave, to mux it later with besweet. is this ok?

in short, if anyone could give me a bit of guidance for dvix-> kvcd it would be much apreciated.
