dammit!!! my PC stalled. guess i gotta do it again. i did some sample clips and found that on a hich action scene, CQ 75 to 80 and max bitate 2300 to 2100 made little quality difference, but made variable file sizes. i am using a GOP structure of 1-18-3-1-0.
i concluded to using a CQ of 75 and max bitrate of 2100 (0 B and P picture spoilage). its currently encoding and is at 37%. 5 hrs to go tho. i need a faster system. ill post when its done. hopefully, if it makes it this time. |

how did you rip this movie? How do you handle the alternate endings- I think there's four in this one. I'm thinkin about including all the endings and separating them with a "change the cd" screen |

I ripped "Joy ride" with smartripper>files method>select all. Now I have a bunch of vobs to load into dvd2avi manually because of the way they're numbered. My question is:
How do you determine which one(s) are the main movie? I don't know if your dvd was like mine but it has several different endings and a bunch of extras. Maybe this is a special case for IfoEdit (I hope not) |

I got Gone in 60 sec. 2 parts, used kwag's cd2 template but changed to 352x240, my dvd player wont play 704x480correctly (daewoo 5800) and CQ:80, bitrate 2300
I still see some blockiness especially on "dark" scence... is there a way to get rid of that? |
