Encoding: Image file is increased by 100MB!

I had different MPEG files wich i coded with KVCD using Avisynth and every Image-File is bigger then the MPEG file (~100MB).
Why is that so. I predicted a file size from ~800MB. But the Image is ~900MB big.

If you are encoding from clean sources ( DVD ) this shouldn't happen. If your sources are avi ( DixX, etc ) then all things can happen :)

The 100MB+ can also reult from padding while multiplexing...did you select VideoCD Non standard? Are U using TMPG 2.59?
