kvcd templates
how can the kvcds templates be loaded in dvd2svcd?
help! :? |
Hi jorel,
Just go to the "Encoder" tab on DVD2SVCD and click on "Advanced settings" and set the GOP manually. Then use your custom .avs script made with FitCD and feed that to DVD2SVCD. Make sure you set "Edit as part of video encoding" under the "Frameserver" tab. Also check that you have "KVCD" selected under the 'Matrix" tab. -kwag |
thanks Kwag... ....but,
believe me, i don't know how to use fitcd at now!  i don't understand a "thing"! when i encode a film i see the time in "movie lenght"(conversation tab), than i adjust (in all) the same time and same size in "bitrate tab". this works perfect, gives me the final size that i need. i read about fitcd,but.....???? :( ??? ???? :? :? |
Then forget about FitCD and load your .d2v as you always do, and just set the GOP and select "KVCD" under "Matrix" tab :D

Then go to "Encoder" tab and click on "Advanced Settings" and from top to bottom enter: 1-36-3-1-36 in the GOP. Make sure you select MPEG-2 and 352x480 as resolution. You're done :D -kwag |

KVCD Templates
Hi Kwag,
I have been using this template "KVCD2-CQ-704x480-NTSCFilm-2CD" with TMPGenc with amazing results... But I have not found a way to use it with DVD2SVCD. That's why I have been following this thread and found it most interresting. I can certainly load the matrix and make the change in the GOP section, but where do I input the "704x480" resolution? Thanks for your help. DorvalCS |
You have to use the "Edit The Avisynth Script File" function under the Frameserver tab. Choose edit after DVD2AVI, and when the avs pops up insert the resize settings from our FitCD script....and away you go :)
