Difference in templates?

I have been using strictly the KVCDx3 template and just fiddling with resolutions, and changing GOP as it's been being discussed as of late..

I was just curious, is there a difference in the templates as far as the resolution goes? That is, is there an advantage to using another template for say 352x480 vs. 480x352, or 528x480 vs. 480x480 etc.? Are any of the templates optimized for certain resolutions? Or should x3 going to be the best for anything?

I think the only other difference in the templates right now is the different max bitrates. That said, you should probably use the template with the appropriate resolution instead of simply changing it in x3, since one day there might be bigger differences between them.

At least I think that's right -- kwag will correct me if I'm wrong :).
