VirtualDub: Joining avi with different resolution sizes

I have a avi that came in two parts and each one is a different resolution size. I want to run one part throught VD and resize it to the other parts size then join them, but cant find and option for rezizing. Any suggestions on how to do this.

Video -> Filters... -> Add... -> resize. Then set the parameters you want and make sure "full processing mode" is selected in the Video menu.
