KVCD: The only problem has to be bitrate?

i changed bitrate from 300 to 600 to 700 i even used a bitrate calculator and the same skipping problem happens but when i use the bitrate calculator the video is the problem there are little glitches in the video and it skips. the min was 946 should i change the max or what. when its at 300 or 600 as min. the audio seems to be fastforwarding through. but at 946 it seems to be the video more than audio.whats the problem here

When you mean "fastforwarding", does it mean out of sync, or does the voice pitch change :?: Are you are 100% sure your audio is encoded at 44.1Khz and not at 48Khz :?:

Does this happen if you use the LBR template (352x240) :?:

knews2 12-24-2002 10:57 PM

I just want to find out if your DVD player plays the mpeg correctly at 352x240 ( VCD resolution ). If it does, then maybe your DVD player just can't handle the other non-standard resolutions. If it does play correctly at 352x240, then you might want to try say the x3 MPEG-2 version. Or any other template, but change the encoding to MPEG-2. You can use the x3 MPEG-2 version as a guide for the correct parameters.

You still burn it as non-standard VCD.

Just try the LBR template, and change the encoding to MPEG-2. Nothing else. And then mux and burn as usual.

Have you tried looking for your particular model of DVD player in the compatibility list, accessible through the main page at www.kvcd.net? Maybe yours just won't work with KVCD :(.
