what bitrate mode do you think is better in svcds?

I know this question is an old question, buy i am a newbie here, so first of all sorry.

What is better, vbr bitrate min 1400 max 2200, for example, or cbr 2200, i know perhaps the space will be lower in first, but, is the quality better in the second?

thanks. :?:

With VBR you can get the same quality on less space... I don't even think you need a min. bitrate of 1400... just use one of kwags templates and leave the default settings! use file size prediction and see if the quality suits you...

And if your target choice is SVCD, you might want to try SKVCD template. It will give you almost the same quality as a SVCD but way longer play time on each CD-R
