KVCD: black band on top and on bottom? only on top?
 

:( I have just backed up oceans 11, everything went fine and I checked a sample of the converted movie in Power dvd. The sample was great so i continued with converting. When the encoding was complete I burned the final mpg to a cdrw to check the quality on my tv as the final size was 683 mb and I wasnt sure the quality would be good, The quality is excellent but the problem is instead of having a black band on top and on bottom the band is all on the top! I have only converted divx downloads up till now so I have never came accross this before. What should I do to repair this? The movie looks great in power dvd so I cant think what could be wrong. Here is my settings. I used the newest template.
CQ--73
Motion Search presition--Normal
Size--352x304
Audio--Dual channel
The original dvd is a region 1and as i have only backed up region 2 (Pal) before I came accross a section in the Newbie guide that said some films come in the 29fps so force film for 23fps should be selected. This is the only difference i can think of. Thanx

:oops: Ignore my last post. I re-encoded with 352x288 and it worked fine. I guess i was being a bit ambitious trying to alter the template without having much experience.
