KVCD: Templates only work in MPEG-1 System (VBR), not non-standard?

Help me.

When I make ANY changes in the settings fields of my templates. They have NO effect at all unless I set the system stream type to MPEG-1 System (VBR).

All the guides say to set the system stream type to MPEG-1 Video CD (non-standard). If I choose non-standard the bitrate appears to be locked at 1150.

The MPEG-1 System (VBR) type works great but EasyVCD is padding the file over 800MB.

Please help.

P.S. I'm using TMPEGEnc Plus version 2.59.47.155

Hi bsbeck,

Encode with TMPEG as "ES (Video only)" and encode your audio separately, preferably with HeadAC3he. Then you mux your video and audio streams with BBMpeg using this screenshot as a guide:

If you use VCDEasy for authoring, you can check the "pad audio" box in bbMPEG. That way VCDEasy won't have to pad the stream on the fly. Doesn't make much difference except you can see more quickly if the file is going to be too big.

My first post of 2003! Happy New Year, everyone :).
