Skips after multiplexing

I recently finished encoding Spiderman. I used KVCDx3 MPEG1.
Resolution is 528x480 @ 23.976 FPS.

I encoded the audio at 128 kbps using Besweet.

I checked the video stream with BSPlay, and it is ok. No skips, and good quality.

But after multiplexing (have done that several times), the complete movie has short skips. That is, the picture remains fixed for a very short time, and then continues. It happens every now and then.
I don't know why might this be happening. It is the first time I got this problem.
I have the file in my computer, and not in the DVD.

Any hint will be welcome.

G,day Gaudi
Which program are you using to play the file with? Windvd or Power dvd are very good for testing.

I am using BSPlay, latest version.

Set the force mux rate option to 0 (zero).
I think this will fix the problem.

hi gaudi...

I have the exact same problem you described... There are short little skips in the video, although audio stays in sync... well this appears after multiplexing only, although I use a forced mux rate of 0...

Mux with these settings:

And check "Pad VCD audio" too.

Thanks for the info.

I shall mention that I am multiplexing as SVCD.

I realized that if played with WinDVD, the skips are gone.

Will post any other message if the problem persists playing with my standalone DVD player.

Many thanks.

If you still have problems on your standalone, then try a small clip with the KVCDx3 MPEG-2
