KVCD: Video Went Crazy in dvd player, blocky and split into little screens?
 

I finished my kvcd and it looked great on the computer. When i played it on my stanalone dvd player, it was all blocky and split into little screens. It's kinda hard to explain but it was really weird. Could it be that I used a bitrate too that was too high?

It was probably the resolution. What template did you use and what brand is your player :?:

I used the kvcdx3 with the new GOP and matrix. My dvd player is a Mintek 1600. Also in the template, i changed the cq to 78 and the max to 3150 and min to 0 because when i tested a little clip of the same movie, it worked fine.

Ok, so if you did test a clip and it worked, then it's probably the MAX bit rate. Try to use MIN=300 and MAX=2,500. You can also try burning this sample: http://www.kvcd.net/k-19.cq.65.5.hig...1.dither.5.mpg and see if it plays. It's made with the x3 (528x480).
