cut in 3 parts increase total size?

:?:

i get 770mb of encoded movie ,
cut in tmpgenc (mpeg tools) and divide in 3 parts resulting:
3 parts of 256mb (more or less).

if i put only the original file (770mb) in nero or nti,
the final size is ok and i can burn it.
if i convert 3 movies of 256mb,i can load and burn it too.

but when i load this 3 parts of 256mb (that i edit in tmpgenc)
in nero or nti,
the final size is more than 880mb 8O 8O

the cd don't get it... 8O :?

what is this?
tmpgen increase the size when we divide the original in parts?

any help,or use another prog to edit the movie? :? :? :? 8O

thanks in advance!

TMPEG is a very good cutter, but a very bad joiner :D
Go ahead and "demux" your 770MB with TMPEG, and then "remux" and create the three parts with BBMpeg. Just set the "Max size (MB)" in BBMpeg under "General Settings" to 256 and it will automatically create three files 8)

Kwag,
i got some problems...

i want to cut the movie in special parts (in transitions).

example:
first part: from 00:00,00 to 45:50,47,66
second : from 45:50,47,70 to 01:33:29,35 (more or less)

how can i cut and reencode in specific parts of the movie?

:? :? :?

You can also use BBMpeg to do that. You mux from "Start second" to "End second" also under "General Settings" :D

You can "see" where you're cutting in TMPEG, but because of the VBR nature of the encoded mpeg file, the actual cut point is way off.
