KVCD: Soften Block Noise?
 
I looked at the settings in Tempgenc, and noticed 'soften block noise' was unchecked. I assume this is on purpose, but I'd like to know why....

Also, what is an intrablock? I assume this is the subcomponent of those two graphs under 'quantization matrix.' Is this what controls scene analysis? If so, shouldn't the selected intrablock be somewhere in the middle?

Sorry. Full of dumb questions today. :?

As kwag said several threads ago, and AFAIK, checking this box causes just the opposite efect in the output (I donīt know why and I didint try this) the quality drops down, and the video is said to show jagged edges and sharp blocks..
